CELEBRATING 10 YEARS!

Join us August 13, 2011
at Furman University
for the 10th Annual Tri to Cure

NOTE: It's not too late! Registration is still open. You can register your child at Packet Pickup on Friday 8/12 from 4 - 7 pm at Paladin Plaza, or on the morning of the event from 6 - 7 am.

Tri to Cure is a youth triathlon for ages 6-15 held in Greenville, South Carolina, on the beautiful campus of Furman University. The triathlon consists of three events – a pool swim, a bike ride around the Furman lake, and a run on the campus mall.

As a non-profit event, all proceeds go directly to the chosen charity. To date Tri to Cure has seen over 4,500 kids participate and raise over $250,000 for kids facing the daily challenges of living with Diabetes. In 2011 Tri to Cure will partner with American Diabetes Association (ADA) and ADA Camp Independence, a summer camp in Greenville County for children with Diabetes who cannot attend other camps because of their unique needs. Staffed with nurses and endocrinologists, ADA Camp Independence is organized to help children with Diabetes learn about the disease, its care and management as well as interact with other diabetics in a fun environment. Tri to Cure is proud to have sponsored more than 100 ADA campers in previous years.

"I never thought I could do something like that. It taught me to try new things!" - Seth, age 9

Distances vary according to age. The 6-10 year olds will swim 100 meters, bike 2.5 miles, and run .5 of a mile. The 11-15 year olds will swim 200 meters, bike 5 miles, and run 1 mile.

Important: Due to a change in USAT rules for 2006 we will be required to have each participant fill out a USAT license form and pay $5. This fee must be separate from the Tri to Cure registration fee and must be made out to USAT. You may pay the fee and fill out the forms on the USAT web site. The address is www.usatriathlon.com/Membership. If you wish, you may also fill out the forms and pay the $5 fee at packet pick up. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Jeremey Davis at set-upinc.com. or Jennifer Bennett on the contact us page.
